Latigo on Latigo 1/2″ Reins, Medium Weight #BLL4
Description: If you’ve got smaller hands and are looking for a double and stitched rein with body and drape but not too much bulk these are a good choice. At your choice of 7 feet or 7 feet 9 inches in length these Medium Weight Latigo on Latigo 1/2 Inch Reins are my best selling double & stitched reins for ladies and youth with small hands. Because they are light, but drape so well when a horse is shown on a really loose rein, these are also a favorite with reiners. I make the 7’9″ length for average size horses. The 7′ length works for those who are training the smaller cutting & cow horse colts and for disciplines like ranch sorting where horses are shown gathered up through continuous quick turns. Choose the length you prefer in the dropdown.
They are made of a medium weight leather that’s approximately 18 oz. making the reins 9/32nd of an inch thick after I stitch them together. I edge these reins by hand, rub them, oil them and rub them again. This extra hand work adds to their great feel. Every detail I put in their production coupled with the fact I buy only the highest quality hides to make my reins gives you that good even contact with your horses face you’re looking for.
These reins are built to last.

XXX Harness Leather Split Reins #ASR2
Description: These XXX 5/8 inch wide show reins are heavy and at 7 1/2 to 8 feet are long enough to really roll them some slack. This length is ideal for those who show horses in a variety of classes in the curb bit and want the feel that this rein will give. The reins lay nicely off your horse’s neck and shoulder when held in one hand but they’re not too long where they might drag or get stepped on. The tail of these reins won’t interfere with your horse’s natural gait.
Crafting: Heavy harness leather bridle reins are very special to me. Every effort is made to give you the best rein you have ever had. I work closely with the tannery to get only the finest dense, tight fibered leather available. I cut the reins in pairs, hand edge, hand rub, oil and hand rub them again for a great feel before I ship them to you. This tight fibered harness leather will last for years. Please feel free to call 817-312-5305 and we will “talk reins”.
