Cinch Hobble #ZB
Description: This cinch hobble is 10 inches long when it’s folded, 3/4 inch wide and there are 3 adjustment holes. I make my cinch hobbles from biothane because it’s so durable.
How it works: This is a very important piece of tack and should never break. It will last a very long time even when used continuously in wet and dirty conditions. This biothane cinch hobble is the only piece of tack I make from non-natural materials.
Slot Concho #ZJ
The one inch Slot Concho is made of stainless steel with slots cut to fit a 3/8 inch string. This is a very safe concho to use on your bridles as it is nearly impossible for it to come undone. Can be used on your chaps also. See guidelines for attaching and removing at left.
Bentley’s Saddle Soap #ZP
Description: Bentley’s Saddle Soap is a liquid glycerine soap that’s easy to use. It cleans, softens and restores and leaves no residue! Bentley’s is a tested formula developed by legendary saddlemaker Don Bentley. For more than 65 years this formula has been used as a cleaner and conditioner for all leather products-both old and new. Will also work on car and home upholstery.
How it works: Spray the surface generously and rub it briskly with a clean, soft cloth until foam disappears. When dry, polish with a clean cloth. Use as often as necessary. Do not use on suede.
Available in 32 oz Spray Bottle and 1 Gallon Jug (see dropdown). International delivery is not available.
Vaquero Rawhide Cream #ZK
Vaquero rawhide cream is a fine rawhide dressing. We use it right here in the shop to condition the rawhide as we braid it. Rawhide dries during the braiding process and this cream is essential to keep the rawhide in perfect condition for braiding. It’s a good idea to use it to recondition your rawhide every 6-12 months. It’s easy to use! Simply apply a coat of the cream, rub it in, hang it up for several hours to soak in and then ride!
Vaquero Rawhide Cream is applied to all rawhide products before they are shipped to you. Use it to clean, soften and preserve all of your rawhide.
DM Straight Cinch #10CS
Description: These hand-tied premium-grade cinches are made of 31 strands of Mohair-blend cinch cord. Most cinches have 27 strands of cord or less. The extra strands allow the pressure to be spread further and also feel better to the horse. It’s just a more comfortable cinch. The carefully hand-crafted buckles are made from round stainless steel rod and have washers on each side of the tongue to hold it straight. Center strap is nylon web with 1 inch stainless steel dees. Cinches have a nylon web keeper for the double off tails on the right side. These cinches come in a variety of sizes to fit all horses (see dropdown).
How it works: This 31 strand cinch will not curl or stretch and will last for years. The carefully crafted buckles are designed to always pull straight to prevent galling. Dennis Moreland Cinches have been the top choice of professional horsemen for over forty years. Watch the video and read my blog: How to Measure for Cinch Length to make sure you get a cinch that fits.
You will not find a better made cinch anywhere, nor will you find another that looks and feels this good, I guarantee it. Give it a try and if you don’t agree, your money back. Dennis
Hand Braided Rawhide Flat Bottom Stirrups #GS1
Description: These correctly shaped steel stirrups are covered with finely hand-braided rawhide that adds a distinctive look to any saddle. Stirrups have harness leather treads and roller covers.
Sizes: These stirrups are available in the following sizes (see dropdown to order):
1 inch, 1 1/2 inch and 2 inch flat bottom (5 1/4 inch deep x 5 1/4 inch wide)
1 inch, 1 1/2 inch and 2 inch flat bottom-wide (5 3/4 inch deep x 5 3/4 inch wide). The wide size is for wider boots such as mens E width or more.
When buying stirrups it’s good to choose the width which will give space between the edge of your foot and the edge of the stirrup for easy and safe mounting and dismounting.
How they work: The weight of these steel stirrups really helps keep them in place during quick, catty moves. If you lose a stirrup it will be right there to pick up again. These stirrups are beautiful in the show ring or on the trail when matched with any of the rawhide headstalls, romals and breast collars I make.
Shown are 2 inch wide flat bottom stirrups. Those shown on the horse are 1 1/2 inch flat bottom stirrups.
