Single Rope Hackamore #HV20
From $199.99
Description: The noseband on this single rope hackamore is made of 3/8 inch nylon. The hackamore is 5 inches wide between the cheeks and 10 1/2 inches long from top to bottom. I can make other sizes so please call 817-312-5305 to special order another size.
The headstall is made of harness leather and the browband is doubled and stitched. It comes with a nylon fiador.
Rein choice: This Single Rope hackamore comes with your choice of rein in the hackamore rein category (see dropdown to order). The rein you choose will be tied to the hackamore before its sent.
How it works: The weight of the heel knot allows it to fall quickly when the pressure on the rein is released. This releases the pressure of the noseband on the face. The smooth and quick release rewards your horse for a proper response. This is a great hackamore for starting your colts, trail riding and loping.
Shown with the #CHR1 Hand Braided Grass Hackamore Rein. The price with this rein is $262.99.

Round Rope Hackamore #HV61
Description: The noseband on this #HV61 Hackamore is made of a single piece of 1/4 inch nylon rope. The headstall is made of 5/8 inch latigo with a 1/2 inch bled browband and has a nylon fiador. The hand braided ring knots on the noseband keep the headstall from slipping.
Rein choice: Available with your choice of any rein in the hackamore rein category (order in dropdown). The rein you choose will be tied to the hackamore before I send it.
How it works: The round shape of the noseband allows for an instant and a very consistent signal anywhere on the face. The noseband comes in 2 sizes; 21 inches in circumference for close contact and very quick action and 23 inches in circumference to decrease the speed of the signal very slightly (see dropdown). The latigo headstall is lighter than a harness leather headstall allowing for faster communication than harness leather. This hackamore is a favorite among trainers and is made to be a training hackamore rather than for starting colts.
Hackamore is shown with the #CHR6 Round Nylon Hackamore Rein. Price with this rein is $157.99.

Soft 4 Plait Loping Hackamore #HV41
Description: This Soft 4 Plait Loping Hackamore comes in 4 colors: tan, our original color, and now blue, pink and purple! You can see photos of the color choices at left and select your favorite in the dropdown below.
At 5 inches in width between the cheeks this hackamore is 10 inches in length from top to bottom. If you need a larger or smaller hackamore please give me a call at 817-312-5305 and I’ll make the size you need. Click here to visit my blog to see how to measure your horse for a hackamore.
The 4 plait noseband is made of 5/16 inch nylon solid braid rope. This hackamore comes with a browband headstall, fiador (tan fiador with the tan hackamore and white fiador with the blue, pink and purple hackamores) and with your choice of hackamore rein (see below).

How it works: This hackamore is perfect for loping and is my best selling loping hackamore. The 4 plait noseband has slightly more feel than my 3 plait hackamore but is still very soft on the horse’s nose. It’s comfortable on a horse and great for warming up in the show pen. It can help stressed or tense horses relax before being shown.
The tan hackamore is shown with the #CHR1 Hand Braided Grass Hackamore Rein. With this rein the price is $272.99. The pink, blue and purple hackamores are shown with the #CHR3 Hand Braided Nylon Hackamore Rein. With this rein the price is $298.99.

Grass Hackamore with Reins #HV10
Description: The Grass Hackamore with Reins is made entirely of one-piece of hand-braided 1/2 inch grass rope. The nose button is covered in hand-braided rawhide and the grass rope is spliced wide at the bottom to give more sidepull action. The hackamore has a 3/4 inch leather headstall with double and stitched browband and a 1/4 inch nylon fiador.
How it works: This hackamore gives a little bit stronger signal on the nose, because of the both the texture and the firmness of the braided rawhide, than a soft rope hackamore. This makes it a particularly good hackamore for loping horses that want to be a little strong in a soft rope hackamore. It’s also great to ride colts with because the reins are spliced widely on the base of the noseband to give more lateral direction when a rein is pulled. It can be used for all types of riding on any horse that works well with a fairly mild signal on its nose.

Sidepull #CP38
Description: The noseband on the Sidepull #CP38 is made of 3/8 inch firm nylon rope specially designed to lay correctly from the first ride. The headstall is made of single ply, 3/4 inch, dense, tight-fibered harness leather and has a 5/8 inch throat latch. The leather has been edged, hand-rubbed, oiled with Neatsfoot Oil and hand-rubbed again. The buckles and rings are all stainless steel.
Reins: The Sidepull is available with or without reins. The 3 most popular choices used with my Sidepull are the #ASR6 DM Harness Leather Split Reins, #BLL6 Latigo on Latigo 3/4″ Reins (shown) and the #ASR3 XX Harness Leather Split Reins. The #ASR6 and #BLL6 are both shorter reins, 6 1/2 to 7 feet, and will work well on the smaller colt or horse. At 7 to 7 1/2 feet, the #ASR3 is a good choice for the bigger colt or horse (generally 15 to 16 hands). Choose between these 3 reins in the dropdown. Many of the other reins I make can be used on this Sidepull. If you don’t see what you need here visit the rein category to purchase your choice of reins separately.
How it works: Sidepulls are a good piece of equipment to use for starting colts, or to transition colts to from a soft rope hackamore. Using a sidepull is a nice way to teach young horses to move through turns with their noses first without putting any pressure on their delicate mouths. Once the colt is turning well with direct pressure from the sidepull a trainer will move to the snaffle, hackamore or bosal.
Sidepull is shown with the #BLL6 Latigo on Latigo 3/4 inch Snaffle Bit Reins. With this rein the price is $302.99.

Chuck Frasier Sidepull #CP40
Description: The noseband on this sidepull is crafted from firm 3/8″ nylon rope, which is specially designed to ensure it lays correctly from the first ride. The headstall is made of single ply 3/4″ tight-fibered harness leather with a 5/8″ throat latch. This sidepull comes with slot conchos, which are the safest and most secure conchos I make. You can see the photos on the left for instructions on slot concho removal and application. The buckles are stainless steel with the leather below the buckles stitched to keep them in place.
How it works:
Since this sidepull is considered a bitless bridle, it is designed for use on the adult horse and is a great tool for when you don’t want to put pressure on the horse’s mouth while maintaining plenty of control. With the design of this sidepull, the stainless steel shanks come against the opposite side of the horses face with a direct rein pull so the horse starts his turns without leaning. Put your leg on him once the turn is started to teach him to complete the turn without leaning.
The noseband in combination with the dog chain curb provides a strong signal to stop.Watch the video “The Secret to using the Chuck Frasier Sidepull” to learn more.
