Double Off Latigo #DO1
Description: I make my Double Off Latigos just the right thickness to be very strong but not leave a lump under your fender. They are available in two sizes: 1 3/4 inches wide by 4 1/2 feet long and 2 inches wide by 6 1/2 feet long. Both of these widths will fit well on any of my cinchas, it’s your personal preference and size of your horse that determine which to buy. Ranch cowboys have told me they prefer the wider, longer double-off.
Call Dennis when ordering (817)-312-5305 if you prefer an extra thin double off.

Basket Stamped Two Buckle Slide Ear Headstall #HS42
Description: The Basket Stamped Two Buckle Slide Ear Headstall is made of 5/8 inch double and stitched skirting leather. It has a precisely designed slide ear piece that will fit comfortably on any age or size horse. There are two beveled stainless steel adjustment buckles with hand braided rawhide loop keepers. The extra hand stitching just below the buckles prevent them from slipping. Doubled and stitched leather is more durable and longer lasting than single ply leather. The doubled & stitched headstalls are not thicker than single ply so still have that good feel in your hands and on the horse.
Crafting: To make a doubled and stitched stamped headstall I take 2 pieces of skirting leather and split them to the correct thicknesses. Next I glue the 2 pieces and carefully cut the desired shapes. Finally it’s stitched together and completely hand stamped.
Available with your choice of slot concho, concho, or tie string bit ends (see dropdown).
Shown with slot conchos.
Latigo on Latigo 5/8″ Reins, Medium Weight #BLL1
Description: I cut these doubled stitched reins 5/8” wide. I make them in two lengths: 7′ for horses under 14.2 hands and 7’9” for horses over 14.2 (see dropdown for choices). These Latigo on Latigo 5/8″ medium weight reins have very good feel and body.
To make these reins I sew 2 pieces of latigo leather together with small, tight stitches. This makes the reins 9/32nd of an inch thick. All of the work is done by hand. I edge these reins by hand, rub them, oil them and rub them again.
How they work: This is my 41st year making cowboy tack and I know which leather makes the best reins. I personally choose each hide I use to make sure you’ll have good even contact and communication with your horse. There are no gray signals with these reins.
These are my best selling doubled and stitched reins and are a favorite in the show ring. They will hold their flexibility and shape even in cold weather and they are built to last.
Try a pair; it will be the best pair of doubled and stitched reins you have owned, I guarantee it. Dennis
DM Straight Cinch #10CS
Description: These hand-tied premium-grade cinches are made of 31 strands of Mohair-blend cinch cord. Most cinches have 27 strands of cord or less. The extra strands allow the pressure to be spread further and also feel better to the horse. It’s just a more comfortable cinch. The carefully hand-crafted buckles are made from round stainless steel rod and have washers on each side of the tongue to hold it straight. Center strap is nylon web with 1 inch stainless steel dees. Cinches have a nylon web keeper for the double off tails on the right side. These cinches come in a variety of sizes to fit all horses (see dropdown).
How it works: This 31 strand cinch will not curl or stretch and will last for years. The carefully crafted buckles are designed to always pull straight to prevent galling. Dennis Moreland Cinches have been the top choice of professional horsemen for over forty years.
You will not find a better made cinch anywhere, nor will you find another that looks and feels this good, I guarantee it. Give it a try and if you don’t agree, your money back. Dennis

Cinch Hobble #ZB
Description: This cinch hobble is 10 inches long when it’s folded, 3/4 inch wide and there are 3 adjustment holes. I make my cinch hobbles from biothane because it’s so durable.
How it works: This is a very important piece of tack and should never break. It will last a very long time even when used continuously in wet and dirty conditions. This biothane cinch hobble is the only piece of tack I make from non-natural materials.
